Hello Authors/Publishers/Street Teams and Readers; I've sat and thought about my future with blogging and reviewing. I still love both, but I also have other plans in my life that are pushing my reviewing to the back seat.
I have decided to move my blog back to Wordpress, where I originally started. Being on a website, I do not have the community here that I loved with Wordpress. So back we go. I hope to have the site up and running January 2025. By February 2025, this website will be deleted. You can find me at shhiamreading.wordpress.com
Now, first things first:
I am also changing how I review. I will no longer be doing individual blog reviews. These take a lot of time that I no longer have. Instead, I will be doing a Monthly Wrap Up of the books that I loved, liked and disliked. For authors/publishers/street teams, I will still meet you on the putting reviews up on GoodReads, StoryGraph, Amazon and anywhere else you want it to be. But your book will be part of the monthly wrap up instead.
Second: I will not be offering anything but this format of reviewing. I have zero interest in doing author interviews, guest posts and the like. That's just not for me.
Third, but most important: I will not be accepting any new reviews for the time being. I mean, you can try and tempt me, haha. But for the time being, I have so many reviewing TBR books to get through that it isn't fair to accept more until I've dug myself out of that. When I do accept reviews again, I'll make a post about it, or you can find out on my social media. However, please do not despair! There are soooo many reviewers out there. I really recommend checking Threads as many people are starting to leave X and move to BlueSky and Threads. Bookstagram'ers and BookTokkers are flocking there in groves. Heck, you can even find me on Threads.
